Descreption of GJSFJV simplex Armored fiber optic cable
This Indoor Armored Fiber Optic Cable finds applications within buildings, including installation in walls,
between floors, plenum air handling ducts, and beneath data center floors. It typically incorporates loose
or tight buffered fiber, an inner jacket, and strength members. The inner jacket is often shielded by a spirally
wrapped interlock armor, providing some protection against fire by utilizing LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
material in the jacket. While these cables are less resistant to mechanical pressure and extreme temperatures
compared to outdoor cables, they offer flexibility and ease of handling, with the standard use of lightweight
aluminum interlock armor. This design removes the need for additional ducts or conduits during installation,
making it an ideal intra-building cable solution.
